| Bedding (C) |
| Bedding should be a well compacted sand/gravel mixture: 6" minimum in soil terrain, 12" minimum in rock terrain.

| Tee & Gasket Installation |
| A. Install neoprene gasket into pre-formed hub area. |
| B. Install pipe through gasket and make connection to 4" sanitary tee. Solvent weld cement is recommended for making connections. |
| C. Tees should be located directly under inspection ports/manhole opening. |
|
| NOTE: It is recommended that you check with your local sanitarian for information regarding tee extensions, etc. |
| Backfilling Exterior |
| A. Pre-Install cover and/or manhole extension and cover before backfilling |
| B. Backfill with 12" maximum layers of sand/gravel mixture. It is important that layers be well compacted. Always compact ends first. |
| C. Fill tank with water in equal proportion to backfill. |
| D. Be certain to compact backfill under inlet and outlet pipe. |
| Backfilling the Top |
| A. When the tank is filled with water, backfill to the surrounding level. |
| General Notes: |
| 1. Do not use these tanks for drinking water. |
| 2. Always refill the tank with water following periodic pumping. |
| 3. Do not install across path of vehicles or heavy equipment. |
| 4. Do not install these tanks in excessive high water table areas. |
| 5. These tanks are designed for use as an underground tank only. These tanks (with the exception of the 300 gal.model) cannot be used as a holding tank or pump chamber. |
